with 9.5x17 you don't need anything on the front. Use 5" backspace.

The wheels aren't the issue it is the tires. Ihave 9 1/2 17's in front now and 275's barely fit. The car is lowered a couple of inches with 800 lb springs. I'd like to go to 295's in front and maybe 315's.

I bought a set from Vanacours without the so called "mudflaps" and they taper in so now I have to trim off the exsisting stock mudflap on the 73 ,I think there made for the 68-69 vettes so watch out for that?
As you will not have a stock mudflap as the later vettes.
