ona, did you ever though about 'shaving' also the fiberglass line going from the top backward? and finish it with a vertical cut streight from the top down? this is an idea is machining into my mind since sometime now...
i dont see any other lines that i could fill....except for the hood/front end tilt....... and the doors..haha...... maybe the headlights...... too much might be bad......
So did you get the kit to work? Did you have to fabricate and mounting brackets for the selanoids? How easy was it to work in the door panel? Just trying to get a heads up of what I'm going to be getting myself into.
i havent had the time to figure out the selenoids yet...i mounted them in a few spots before but couldnt get enough force/angle.... i might take it to a hot rod/custom place to see what they say....

I'd like to see some pictures if it is possible of how you have them mounted.
this was last year.... all i remember off hand was that
1. i mounted it low to clear the window...but the angle was bad
2. went to middle of door but had clearance issues.....
might have to rig up a pulley/lever arm setup to make it work......all i know that is my 50pound selenoid wasnt working....... hence a lever setup to get more moment force

here is a scan of what i mean, i've been looking to cut the part of fg pictured here...could you do a photoshop of how it would look? your comments? i know you're a design expert...
this is not my car but it's a good pic to show you where to 'shave'...
The Autoloc is the kit I have been looking at and was recommended to me by someone because of the weight of our C3 doors and the fact that they can as has been suggested be adjusted over 50lbs and up to 100lbs with the SL50 adjustable.

So no one has actually gotten it to work 100%? I found a company that is a hot rod site but carries the 7 channel Autoloc system for $150.00. It is called Kirtskustom.com. I am beginning to wondering if it is worth the hassle.
You shouldn't have any problems with the big Autoloc kit... if it takes more than 100lbs of pull force to actuate your door latch, something is wrong...
Autoloc has great kit with remote, emergency release cable and under door backup switch. Also have a good selection of hidden antennas, electric wiper motors, billet window switches. Go get a mag called street rod builder, they have adds for products to customize with..
