bore x bore x stroke x #-of-cylinders x .7854

4.06 x 4.06 x 3.48 x 8 x .7854 = 360.42 CID

Really, just simple math..... the .7854 is a factor, going from a square-to-round:
a 4" by 4" square has an area of 16 square-inches (4 x 4 ), but the area of a circle 4" across (diameter ) is .7854 of that area (figuing-off the 4 corners with rounded- 'inards', if that is a word ).

How about I just ask you? Math is not my subject.

Default There's always something; 360" or 361"?

Here's a possible anomoly:

Speed Pro aka Sealed Power aka Federal Mogul lists sbc 350 displacements with their pistons as follows:

CAST
4"std 350
+20 353
+30 355
+40 357
+60 361

but ...

FORGED
4"std 350
+20 353
+30 355
+40 356
+60 360

Yes I can calculate too ... but a misprint or rounding error or significant figure or?
Bottom line ... 1" don't mean squat in a street car.
