changing valve seals
i'm changing my valve seals for the first time. autoparts store sold me the fel-pro umbrella seal on the left(part# SS-10058). after removing the springs, i see the exhaust sides have the seal on the right. Do I have to remove that old seal, or can i slip my new seal right overtop of the one the right, as it does seem to fit over just right.

You should remove all the old seals and install the ones like are on the right in your picture. They are the better ones. Be sure and use the installation tool, the little sleeve that goes over the valve stem, it keeps the edges on the valve from cutting the seal lips. ANd install new o rings under the retainers too.
