. I couldn’t figure out why as I didn’t do anything to them. As I was waiting on my food the uppity people in the van started to leave. I caught a glimpse of their back bumper and they had a ton of “save our plant” stickers all over the back of it. It was clear to me right then and there why they were giving me bad looks. My car runs straight side pipe exhausts with no inserts. It’s very load and of course it’s probably not very environmentally sound. Oh well, I kind of had to laughed it off. Okay, that was just the first part of my visit. Next is when my food arrives. Bringing my food out was one of the most gorgeous young lady’s I’ve seen in a while
. She was tall with long blonde hair and had all the curves of a C3. She couldn’t have been more than 18. I do live in a college town. She gave me my food and proceeded to look the car over. I was feeling pretty good about that as I could tell she liked what she saw. She asked me what year it was. I told her it was a 1974. She told me “wow, I wasn’t even born then”. She was probably born right in the middle of the C4 production. She said she really enjoyed looking at the car. I told her thanks for the complaints. Here’s the comment that she made right before she went back inside that put me back in my humble existence, she said “yeah when I get old I’m going to get a cool car like that as well”. I know I took that statement a different way and I’m sure she never intended on it sounding like that. Oh well, it was a fun trip. I got visually harassed by some tree huggers and subconsciously seduced by some young girl who thinks you have to be old to own a Corvette. Man, what a tease and she wasn’t even trying. I guess I have officially turned into that old creepy guy who hangs out in the food court at the mall, ha ha ha!
Well that’s how I look at it. Nevertheless, I got to get out a drive the car. Just thought it was an interesting day and wanted to share it……….

Don,t feel bad I live near Salimander Saving Austin, Texas. I have loud side pipes too, so the Tree huggers Kring, the Kids point, and all the College girls around here make me feel like I'm the "creepy old man".

I have wanted one my whole life and had to wait till I was almost 40. It has always seemed like when you see a nice sports car, there is always some geezer driving it. Anyway, you are only as old as you feel, and I swear every time i take my car out, I instantly feel younger.

me too
