youngster,i didn't get into the price-not my place, but he's fair.We haven't talked since before X-mas,and he called.I figured it was a result of you calling him,but he said you hadn't called, and he still had the rear firewall back,so.........................the rest is on you.If you need any help, tho',please give me a holler. There's plenty of willing/knowledgeable guys here that will help you along!
Just got off the phone with Mr Gee autosales.. i should be recieving the pictures today or tomorrow of a complete firewall back vert clip.
Price was not the bad... what would you expect me to pay? (originally a texas car).. don't want to list the price, as if it is in as good of condition as he says i will be buying it. Don't wanna get it stolen!! hahahahaha
Work has been kind of hectic and i have not been able to even work on the vette... kind of keeps things cheap though wouldn't you say?!! haha
Man, I am just green with envy. I'd love to be dropping a '74-'75 vert clip on my '76 frame. Best of luck, keep us apprised of the progress.

Youngster, hope that the deal w/Mr.Gee went your way,and everything worked out for you.Looking forward to seeing you get this project going, and getting us some pics.
John, how'd your deal go? Does the body/clip/body shell....whatever look as good as you'd hoped? How complete was it? Was the price fair?
You don't know whow much I've been thinking about this exact same project over the past couple weeks. I hope yours is staying on track!

Indiana John,
Well, i can post up some pics if you want. It looks real solid, but it is just the sheet metal and fiberglass from the wall back.
I don't think his price was out of line, and he was more than helpful on the phone. I was told it was originally a Texas car... so the rust is surface only.
It leaves alot of parts that i will not have as far as the top and everything goes.
I think for now, i will see if i can still grab the glass i need for my current body and go from there. As much as i would love to do the vert conversion i don't know if it is in the cards for this one.
School started again, work has kicked into overdrive and the girlfriend still needs some time too()!
I am going to get to work on it this weekend, but i think it will be mostly about getting the body mounts removed and cleaned up.

I was curious as to how complete it would be. Seems like there's more than a few bodies out there that's missing the top frame and deck lid. I've about decided if and when I decide to do this I'll look for a wrecked vert that is as complete as I can get, body and top wise.
Just for Fun and a few others are confident enough to piece together a vert from bits and pieces, but I'm just not familier enough with how a vert goes together and what various bits I'd need to complete a project like this.
If I could find a body complete with the top frame with maybe the front clip and frame wiped out, I know I could do a body swap easy enough. Wouldn't even be a bit afraid of pieceing together an interior. Even if I have to pay a premium price for the wreck I'll still come out money ahead over a complete vert. The fact I wouldn't have a factory vert is meaningless to me.
Hope your body rebuild goes well!

ahh... so very true. It isn't complete at all... it is just fiberglass (no deck lid) and sheetmetal. There is nothing there except for that.
I know exactly what you are talking about! Factory vert = nothing to me eigther. I appreciate them for what they are but i am not looking to turn a profit...
