you gonna do much racing in '07, ruby?
Hey Glen, 1100 lbs, that's good, I've got a 5k classIII trailer hitch, 1100 for the trailer, 3500 for the vette, that would make around 4600 lbs!
As for racing, I'll likely go to Gateway a couple of times this summer. My wife and I are expecting our firstborn in May, so I may not even get out that much. I went 3 times last summer and actually got my basically stock (except for exhaust and lack of emissions gear) 76 to go 14.91 in the quarter! I was ecstatic! My car in 76 was supposed to go mid 16's as an L82. Amazing what getting rid of smog pump, air conditioner, single exhaust and catalytic converter can do.
You were right before, it is definitely addictive and FUN

14's, out-of what is essentially a 'nothing'-motor, is pretty-good: best-of-luck with the baby-Shark!
What is the best way to strap down a C3 on a trailer? I have never transported one but plan to in the near future.
thanks,
My Vette has holes in the frame that look like large key holes that the hooks hook right into…very easy but my buddies vette doesn’t have the holes and he straps down the A frames and around the half shafts
I have a 16" trailer with a dove tail and pull out ramps.
You'll definetely need a 4 wheel trailer (2 axles) and I'd recommend that one of the 2 axles has brakes on it.

yep, i think it's exactly what i'd need, if 16'' it's long enough i'd prefer this one then the 18''...noted 4 wheels and brakes. i have to check how much do they cost here...have no idea whatsoever.

I had a buddy with a perversion for bracket-racing big Buicks (Wildcats, Rivieras, etc. ), and he had an 18'-long deck, which towed much better than his previous 16'-deck:
on a shorter-car like ours, the extra 2' might allow for tools, tires, pit-bike, etc., and might offer a more-stable ride.
