My "Corvette by the numbers" book says 3935439 was late 1968 and early 1969 block used for 390 HP (2 bolt main) and 400, 430, 435 HP (4 bolt mains). Block used only after January 1968.

T0715 = Tonawanda, July15 (1968)
IL = 427/390hp with 4speed
185427887 should be 18S427887
27887 serial number = August 8, 1968 birthday(approx)

To authenticate it you would compare the casting date of the block, the stampings on the pad and the general configuration of the car. What is the car if I may ask...? Coupe or convert and colors/options and body trim tag date?
