Anyway, I start it maybe once every two weeks unless there is a specific reason to start it. I tend the battery once a week and have checked fluids and such but that's it.

I can reach down inside, standing beside the car, turn the key, and start the motor. After a few weeks it turns for a couple seconds...then fires. If it's been less than a week it fires right up like it was fuel injected.

How many of you can do that? Anyone have to pump and pump and wait and pump and wait...?
Mine is exactly the same ............ But then mine IS fuel injected - is that cheating ?

Just finished installing the intake, hopefully the pulleys this weekend. My goal is to get it to the dyno by the end of the month.

On warm days, she fires right up. During the cold months I have to pump it 2 or 3 times. Then again, I don't have a choke (disconnected).

I am going to have a Bud and torque my screws right now. I should save a bundle on gas.

I'm cheating also.
1) Turn key to run, and wait for fuel pump to prime injector rail.
2) Push clutch pedal to floor, and hold.
3) Turn key to start position, and enjoy.

Of all people... I find it hard to believe Durango missed that thread.

Your dropping the ball my friend. Loosing it in your old age.

I remember the thread, but I have no idea why it's being thrown in my face. It's happened in three threads now. Lars, Redvetteguy, and TT.

With the hundreds of things that have gone wrong with this car, I can honestly say that this engine has fired up as soon as the solenoid clacked in from day one. It's like instant on. It also cuts off instantly. I take no credit. I don't complain. I hope I haven't jinxed myself!
