I had to run out for a bit. I really didnt get pulled over. I picked my ride up from a local vette shop after getting the convertible top re-covered. Turns out, my gas gauge no longer works 
Talk about feelin like an idiot. I called up the guy from the shop and he sent out one of his cronies w/ a can, what a guy. I was no more than a mile out, stuck, side of the road. Cop was there shortly after. Couldnt resist that pic.

Funny part is... I've given people crap before about NOT soldering...
I have no idea what the problem is... have yet to get the time to take a look at it. The guage USED to work just fine... before I put it away for the winter that is.

5 years of electrical engineering school under the belt, and I've got electrical problems!!!!!
But seriously.. the gauge is stuck a little below half tank. If one of the connections came loose, it would read nothing right? I'm thinking the float could be stuck?
