Might be a bit of a language barrier here. What do you call a "shaker"? Scoops like these?

In Australia, this is called a "shaker"

yup, those are shakers. Well, they're called as such because they are not part of the hood but installed as part of the air cleaner thus, whenever you rev your motor, it gives that shaking effect.

Something like this then? Or should it be a bit further forward? Comments/suggestions?

Anyway, it's stupid o'clock here and I'm off to bed. Any mods will have to wait until tomorrow

Thanks.........we all need our beauty sleep . I guess if you can move it a little forward, more of like where the stock air cleaner will be. Thanks again. I was going to try and get a hold of a stock hood for cheap and cut it to see how it'll look. This will definitely save me a lot of money.... .

Yeah, I think one of them would look very smart. I think they're bloody expensive though, even a repro

Just put a hood scoop on already.

Using redneck would give redneck's a bad name, I was thinking more like trailer.

Thanks Wayne. Do you mind doing one with the shaker facing forward? If that's at all possible.

Aaaah, its one thing to use another GM product's scoop, dont go putting Mopar or ford parts on. I dont think the photoshop is doing it justice(no offense to the photoshopper), plus the one in the pic looks like one of the early shakers. A later one, such as your '78 is lower and wider.

Why stop with a shaker scoop? You could fix the doors so they don't open and paint a big Rebel flag on the roof.

Heck...find yourself a big pile of dirt and you can do jumps just like the General Lee!!!!

But can we put shaker scoop at the position in the pic ? It seems air cleaner might be sitting a little forward.
