Wow! That is really gorgeous. I can appreciate your work having struggled with my own. Yours is so much nicer than mine, and also your picture is better!!
I dont even know what the paint is. Just went to an autoparts store and tried to get a spray can that was close. Mine is a light shade of International Blue. Almost like le mans, but just a little darker.
Only thing you missed was painting the lower part of the rocker panel black
That really did come out nice.... I guess I shared the same interest as both of you, here is one I built a few years back while I was off work from a work injury,
There was a local hobby shop having a contest for a corvette model build-off, I entered this one and forgot I had put it in for judging, went back a few weeks later and found out that I had taken 1st place...I was surprised..You would have for sure beaten me if you had entered with that one...

kind of a pet peeve of mine. It bugs me to see otherwise original 68 or 69 with the 70 style rockers. I mean, WTF are they thinking putting 70 rockers in the 68 model kit??
(you just have to mask them off and paint them yourself...)
Also, the kit - and it looks like you built the same kit - is for an L-88 and they don't include the regular bigblock hood, so I kind of painted some fake chrome pieces onto the L-88 hood. I tried using a bigblock hood from an LT-1 kit, but it didn't fit.
What brand is that? I have two Revell "68 roadsters" still in the unopened boxs. The box shows a yellow vert and comes with 2 options; stock or with a blower stick out of it. 1/25 scale #85-2544.
the rest of my collection list of models Some day me and my grandkids might get around to building them.

Revell made the 68 roadster and the 69 coupe. Both were based on the l-88, so they only include the tall hood for the big block. The blower hood that comes with the 68 is a small block hood. The center is not cut out, but the area is marked on the bottom side. AMT made the 70, 71, and 72 all in lt1 configurations. The 70 is a coupe, while the 71 and 72 are convertibles.
