As for the price. Find a project like the 69 that was on ebay that had everything, and it was a perfect 435 car project btw, it went for around $40,000. Thats today's money. Then send it to a shop for a total restoration that would suit the imperial palace collection...Guess what that costs. At 95,000 its one of those cars that we hope they paid about 15000 for it before they started otherwise they will lose money.
Try and duplicate what you see and it will cost at least that amount. How many documented red late 68 L-89 convertibles are there?
Fairly priced.
68/69 427 pricing
ZL-1 1M+ not available, but a hazardous guess..
L88 150K project-400K all cars are pretty much the same in options, history makes the difference
L89 30K project to 100K color and coupe or convert a big factor. Hot color verts tough to find
L71 20K project to 70K color and documentation here, options were limited, but docs big. Many fakes.
L68 18K project to 70K documentation and options! These came with AC and other cushy options. Big money on the best AC verts~!

CAREFUL: This is a NON documented car..........maybe a "RECREATION" ???? hummmm ?
That car is not selling at $40,000 so it's no steal the interest here is it's originality nothing more. It's not a Tri-Power & it's very rough........
i'd say $50,000 - should be around the right money for this car

Yes,but the point is
would it not be better to sink $50k in a car with proven history
rather than sink $95k in a car with a rather dubious history as it
allready been stated in another post the $95k car may or may not have been built to order.

I restored a '67 Roadster. It was a 1 family owned car. You stand there and look & think "it won't take much, and little of this & that." WRONG!!! It costs Big Bucks to do a real resto. I did my deal about 6 years ago. I sold it for 100K & I think I about broke even(not counting time). I will never do another resto. I hated that car before I was done.
Yes I do. I paid 40k for a '70 BB 427/390 tank sticker car. I have made some mechanical changes but saved & wrapped all old parts. Nothing will be done that can't be undone. It will be stock again someday(I assume). In the mean time It's a Hot Rod!
Thats the right money for that car it is a low horse small block AUTOMATIC coupe. Red on tan isnt as easy to move as red on black & it was nothing exciting !!!

The car was truly museum quality. Spotless/perfect.
