Thanks! The air cleaner base was powder coated. I did the rest with Dupli-Color 500' engine enamel. I also smoothed & molded my firewall and hid alot of vacuum lines & wires. Next week I plan to do a thread on it after I get some better pics..........
awsome keep me posted on how u cleaned up your firewall i popped my hood today and though about cleanin everything up( like you can see in my frist pic) cause its a mess in there.....there are so many things unpluged things i dont know i had or were its from......idk im think about takin it to a pro and be like " take all the useless wires and hose out "
with my new resto, i am going with a black and silver engine bay. i am going with semi gloss black, flat black, gloss black, natural aluminum, polished aluminum, and stainless. i am going to do my best to stay as close as possible to having nothing but black or silver showing under the hood. it will be a little while before i can start posting pics.
Chrome and gloss black are not correct but it's what I LIKE....
looks very well done, who cares if it isnt correct, it still looks good and you like it. it is very simple and has a very clean look = not over done. sometimes simple is better.
This is a pic with my old engine (406). The new 434 engine will look a little different..
There will be a Dominator on top and not a 4150 series carb..
My sig pic is an older pic of the engine. I now have a set of Billet Specialties ball milled valve covers. I'm going to take some new pics as soon as the Global Warming kicks in. BTW, I like chrome.
