just the other day the right turning arrow on my gauge stayed on, and it still is. i come to find out that this happens when a bulb is shot, etc. i found out the right side doesn't blink at all. i pulled out the bulbs, and they are perfect. the turning signal light on the gauge only come on when i turn my headlights or foglights on. the fuse isn't blown because the left side works perfectly. i checked the harness and i see nothing wrong. please help!!
Mine gets corrosion in the plug down where the harness comes through by the radiator support. Its was working fine but after sitting since last July for the restoration, now its out again. Guess I need to look at that plug again.
I don't know, my left dash indicator comes on but does not blink,neither doe any of the left ft/r bulbs. but the the right dash indicator does not come on but the right ft/r bulbs do blink when you turn on the flasher all bulbs blink. i have replaced every bulb in the car,and flashers still no dice. I gave up.

The 4-way flashers? IT's sort of sounding like your turn signal switch has gone to T/S switch heaven. (or whereever it is they go when they die)
Turn signal switches take some work to get to, but they're not impossible. I lucked out on mine. I took the wheel and such off down to the switch, and cleaned the switch with some electronic parts cleaner, then lubed it with some lithium grease. It came back to life and hasn't given me a problem yet. Looks like the hardest part would be fishing the new wires down the steering shaft.
You don't need the special tool shown in the shop manual to get to the switch, but some kind of similar puller would help. (you can hold the plate down with one hand without the puller but doing so puts your hand in the way, see below)
I would recommend a pair of snap ring pliers that can get to the retaining ring.
I would not recommend using a sharp awe or other pointy object (dental pick), letting it slip and go through your thumb.
I do recommend superglue for resealing your thumb if you didn't listen to that last sentence.
The threads on the end of the lever can get worn or even worn out. It just unscrews from the link inside the column. Twist it out and take a look. If it's worn out, get a new one ($10). {The link inside is hardened steel and shouldn't be worn.}

Bro, 20 minutes from Liberty to Gladstone is going the hard way- across PV road. Be more than happy to help, but I'm in Las Vegas this week. Won't be back until the 2nd.
T/S switch is really not a deal. I'll be happy to help when I get home.
Been there, done that. And I've got all the pullers and special tools too.
20+ years at GM dealers will do that for ya'. I've even got a good Vette parts guy!
found the problem...my wiring harness was bad at the connection. after fiddling with it for a while, i got tired of it, cut it off, and hard wired it. i will eventually get a new wiring harness when i restore anyway.
