All you have to do is look here. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1668583

And it will show why many good people no longer post on the forum.

's they post only to start problems and be negative.

I really don't care. I'm starting to get into to other vehicles and posting at other forums.

You can continue posting about stereos and lights, or yah and beer

I will try my best to stay out of these threads.

I have asked many of the "old timers"this question.
I have recieved the following answers. I will not place names to answers.

"I am tired of the same old questions/answers."

"Some people can post whatever they want, and the mods protect them."

"There are no interesting threads anymore."

"The forum has become ____ ____ personal playground."

"The forum has become about post count, not content."

This is what THEY send me e-mails about. Not my reasons.

Mine. Some people post trying to help, but have not a clue to the correct answer. They post GUESSES without qualifying them as such. If I guess, I quantify it as such. If I make a joke, I try to insure it as such. When I fail, I AM sorry.:o

That thread is getting very interessting towards the end

I did in fact notice increasing activity on other C3 forums, I guess after reading the above linked thread I have a better understanding why.....

Sorry to disappoint you. You actually post some relevant info at times. I don't see you ing one individuals post to take constant jabs.
There are others on this same list though

Well and just think a bunch of it was taken out by the mods and closed then when it was cleaned up a bit they did reopen it. But as you can tell it did not help.

That was my big try but alas it fell on deaf eyes. And I got many I told you so's. from the good people on the forum that no longer post much.

Recently, I think over the last 2-3 months, it seems that many members who used to post a lot post less or not at all anymore, when I for example look at old threads that I posted in over a year ago I see usernames that you don't see in recent threads....

How many members are only reading and not posting and why ??
How many of you are posting less than you used to ?
Are you posting on other Corvette boards ??
I used to post a ton. Lived on the board (the C5 Forum). Even went to the "other forums" and started to talk politics with people here until I remembered the reason I was on THIS forum was to enjoy myself and telk to people I liked. Politics is a guaranteed way to screw that up.

But after hearing the "How do you lower the car", "I'm a newbie what's the best year C5", "Which is better, a vert, coupe or FRC." and the always popular, "What's the best exhaust system" about forty times each, I got bored and stopped posting much.

Recently I've gotten interested in adding to my stable. Like many of you, I'm sure, I'd like to have a nice C2, but financially, that ain't happening. So I'll eventually get me a C3. I've found that the best way to learn about these cars is on the forum, so I'll participate here until it gets boring too and then slack off again.

MyBad just asked for an example...the people on the list know who they are. No need to list them all. The ones who will actually start a thread with another members name in it? Those are extremist I've even been graced to have my Handle/Name posted in a thread starter because of someone elses anger...

not a forum old-fart, but I don't post a lot, as I prefer to absorb as much information as possible. I will be posting some updates and stuff when I complete the major work(have the front clip set right and am fixing bubba-esque fiberglass work)...

I agree. I think the Forum would be better served if folks remembered that there's a "search" function available. There are alot of trivial topics being posted but, after all, this is a "general" community. Someone posts photos of his car, it doesn't hurt for members to compliment him. I do believe there is alot of posting done to simply run up numbers, but no activity, no forum. Most importantly, let's remember that we are all part of special fraternity and keep our interactions civil.

Why would anyone need to post in the tech section at all? Everything they could possibly want to know has already been covered and available just by using the search function.

Good ? but. Things change. There maybe some new parts that were not mentioned before along with a better way to do things. For this very reason the Forum is better than any rag you can get.

I think I have a stalker

Good work Jeff

I don't think I can get arrested for that though. You should at least try though.

Of to the police to get a restraining order.

Things can only change so much. I think you can only find so many new ways of doing things, and there isn't really any new parts.
