Best I've heard it put when it comes to seats in the C3 -
You can drive 30 miles in a 68 - 78 and it will feel like 300; drive 300 miles in a 79 - 82 and it will feel like 30.
I can only speak for the 79 - 82 and yes, the seats feel great! Note, the 78 Pace car got the "newer" seats, a preview of sorts for the 79 - 82.
Concerning your note on the OD for the '82. You'll like that as well. Mine turns about 26 MPG on a straight highway run. 70 MPH = 2K RPM.

Huh? I'm not going to disagree that the later years had more comfortable seats, but c'mon... "30 miles feels like 300"?
Never had that problem in my '72!
