That's what I was thinking..a Torker or a Tarantula......couldn't tell if it was a *cool* one with the slant.
We are fighting some hood clearance issues on a C-3 with L-88 hood and looking to refresh my memory if one of those clears well. Seemed like they did way back when.

They actually work pretty decent!
JIM
Jim you are correct they will clear the L-88 hood. If you need one I have one here? Since I talked to you about my set up we thought the Vic Jr would be the best rout to go with along with a 1 inch spacer.
This one we're doing actually has a 427 with Dominator on it. We're using an old Team G that I used to use on my C-2. It works..but it's pretty tight..the new Dominators are a little taller than the old style ones. Just looking to see what will fit.
But if he changes his mind on using a Dominator.....we may be calling you. Is it rectangular or oval port?

Will those valve covers clear roller rockers? Do they clear your PB booster OK?
JIM
Me ??? Can't answer for roller rockers...I'm running 1.7 ratio hardened steel rockers with dual valve springs....the valve cover clears PB booster by one inch......and yes, oval port...

Hello. Did you check. That was bogus auction. The guy was trying to hype the car. Think about it. KEN
It doesn't cost the same either way. It costs more to properly restore the car to original. Sometimes Way more than the car will ever be worth. So some of those end up hot-rodded, for just a LITTLE less money, at first, then there's the upgrades--- I think I'm about to contradict myself! To each his own!!!
It DOES NOT cost the same either way.....I gave $2500 for my 82 model and if I tried to make it original I would have spent the next three years chasing down every little nut and bolt and three times as much trying to make it look "factory original"
I can go to autozone and buy a upper radiator hose, battery, oil filter and not feel guilty about it
I'm putting TPI on my car, my engine block is orange, and all the smog has been removed, 2000 GM torch red exterior, black interior (no black in 82)......I've never been happier. It's the way I like it.
I sure did. I only ment to point out to some of the sellers of thes cars that they may not get top $ for there custom cars. No intent to dis. any Vet. I love them all. It makes you reralize how passionat Corvette people are. That's great! KEN
Tasteful is tasteful and most agree that this '64 looks nicer than stock. It sure outperforms stock and now had a 5-speed. And, it just appraised at $60K.
You think a stock saddle '64 with a 300 hp, 4-speed and AM/FM as the only options would appraise at $60K? It would have to be about perfect to come close.
Custom is actually much cheaper to do than stock.
I had the interior all done custom (seats, carpets, door panels headliner), and parts and labor were cheaper than just the stock parts.
Want you new glass date coded? $50 for each of the 6 pieces. No one is looking at date codes on this thing.
