As I was working on something un-related, I found a couple of vacuum ports that have NOTHING connected to them......
It is the coolant sensor that sits in thermostat housing. There are two sensors, and the one I am interested in, is closest to driver side (LH).
It has two ports on it, one is aimed towards RH side and has a 6 inch piece of tube on it that curls around (I have picture, but cannot post) and other port is aimed towards LH side with no tube at all.
If I have not proplerly explained it, I would be happy to shoot you a couple of pictures, if you send me email address .....
If your car had an AIR pump that sensor was for the diverter valve and the EFE valve. If your car did not have an AIR pump then it was for the dist. vacuum advance.
Does anyone have pictures of their stock engine bay that shows vacuum hoses, or where is a diagram available from so a novice like myself can follow it ......
