I don't know if it is spec or if you could bring the exhaust manifold back to spec, but I used "Hot Stuff". You apply it when cool, then start the car to cure it. I used this recommendation since it has a high temperature operating range.
Mine were off the car and I baked them in the oven!

I used the High Temp Manifold Paint Kit that I got from Eastwood. It has lasted for well over 3 years....looks brand new! Click on to this website and check it out...
