I found someone who yanked my chain today! Ive been working at my job for a couple years now, at a dealership, and had my 76 for quite awhile now. Found out we've got a new general manager the other day, and he just so happens to roll in in a 2007 C6, so, I think to myself, great ice breaker right? I mention his car, and mine, and I get this response: " Anything older than 5 years is more than past it's prime, and should be left in the junkyard. Those things are for poor people.... " .......... WTF?! w....t....f?! What a jackass.
Just let it roll off you.He not a Vette guy..he`s just somebody who happens to own a Corvette.Big difference...he`ll never understand what owning a Vette is all about.
Dont let it faze you.
I have a guy at my job who tells me Vettes suck at almost every break I see him.He loves Ford and tells me his grandfather knew Carroll Shelby..whatever...he loves Mustangs but doesnt have one..I just look at him and laugh.
Don't pay him any attention. I don't understand people like that ... a nice car is a nice car. New or old makes no difference to me. I don't even care what make it is - I'm not very brand loyal (I own a Corvette, Oldsmobile, Mustang, and a BMW).

No offense, but in my experience I have found that many general sales managers at dealerships are dirtbags. They got where they are by ripping off and lying to the general public on a daily basis.
Therefore, do not waste your time with this jackass...observation noted.

Last I recall I don't ever remember seeing any corvette parked at the projects or dollar general in my area
Seen a lot of camaro's, civics and mustangs though
Is his name Guido, by any chance? There's a lot of C5 and C6 owners who are named Guido. Coinicidence? I think not. Guidos are those fat bald guys who know nothing about the car they are driving, can't turn a wrench and look down their noses at everyone. Instant Ahhshole: just add money...

He obviously has no appreciation for the heritage of the Corvette and no knowledge of the value of the old cars. Many of the older Corvettes are worth quite a bit more than his new toy. My C6 was the most unreliable Corvette I ever owned. GM agreed and bought it back.
Most of the people in the 2 clubs here I am involved with own newer Vettes. I have yet to meet a true blue Vette owner that doesn't really appreciate the older cars. Most of them kick themselves for selling thier C2s and C3s and buying new. This guy is probably green with envy, ignore the ***!
A good story I'd like to share with ya's. Back in 1971 when I owned my LT-1 roadster I worked in the parts dept at Foreign Cars of Rockland, basically a V.W. & Porsche dealer but sold many, many different exotic cars. The place was owned lock stock and barrel by Bob Grossman who was a racer of some notariety back in those and earlier days, so one day driving thru the lot he spies me and asks who is that to his general manager, who tells him "some kid that works in the parts room". He tracks me down and starts talking about what an awsome car the Corvette is and how does mine run and can he take it for a drive, and do I like it etc. etc. It was hard acting humble after that, heres this famous for the time sports car guy talking to me about my car. Wish I still owned that car, it was nice. Peace,,,Moosie

I agree......probably is a regular customer at the Hairclub for Men, and wears a gold horn chain.....needs a car to get chicks. Needs a C-6 to make up for an inadequate you know what.....bet he had an IROC Z-28 back in the day......don't pay any attention to the loser.
