Couldn't help myself
Hey everyone.
I bought my Corvette in Feb and since then its been sitting in my garage waiting to be put on the road. I needed to save the money to get the registration, plates, insurance, and safety done. now however it would seem that I may get all that one for fathers day. (I hope I hope) :-)
any way I got off work a little early today so i decided to take my boy for a ride around the block to stretch her legs a litte. just before we got home I stopped the car and asked the boy if he was ready. he said sure not knowing what I was going to do. (he is 10) I popped the clutch and let her rip. I left a short skid on the road possibly one foot long. no smoke or anything but I looked at the boy and you would think it was a carnaval ride. Eyes wide and a huge smile on his face. this was the first time I heard him say (Wholly s**t!!)
Afterward he had to go see the skid mark. just small ones. but he was sooooo impressed by them I got a high 5. Feels good to drive that car.
Only a few days left till Im legal

Thats sounds great. Sounds like he had a blast.. I remember when i was little and my dad would let me shift the 4 speed all the time..We had Camaros when i was little. He broke his hand and i had to shift all the time.. we would race other cars and i was shifting.. When it was ok to let your kids sit on your lap and drive.. I had a blast
