This is only my view,, but unless your ready to do this yourself its going to cost mega bucks to have this done. First, don't imagine that its the only rusted area, most likly all four pillars need attention not to mention the windsheild frame and/or the fire wall.
mega bucks, how much we talkin...and your pic is exactly what i need done on both sides..just the lower hinge is breaking away from the body. how did your repair cost?
The damage is repairable. The aftermarket providers carry replacement panels. You can also find parts on eBay. A pair of pillars were recently listed. (Might still be there.)
...if so how much u think a body shop would charge...
An arm, a leg, and your first born child. If you have the ability, making this type of repair yourself will save you a ton of money. As for an amount, that would depend on the going labor rate in your area. Makes inquiries. You want someone who has made this type of repair in the past.

I would tend to agree with this statement,, its a lot of time required,, time to gut the interior, remove the cancer, manufacture the repair parts and install, not to mention all the body work afterwards to glass back in place,, paint etc etc. I don't want to discurage you at all, this job is doable,, how much are you willing to do yourself to save you a lot of money is the question. I have about 200hrs on the structures repaires alone, times (X) $45.00 per hrs. I'm not a pro, but no body shop would have invested the time and attention I put into my repairs. There is always the possibility to repair quiklly and cheeply,, Or,, sell the car as is and purchase one that is sound now that you Know what to look for.
