Oil Temp

Took my car out for the first time after replacing the suspension, trans, and a legal tag. Drove about 40 miles everything went well, oil temp never moved. It starts at 100; should it be higher or is something wrong with the sensor/gauge?

Something is wrong with either the gauge or the oil temp sender. It's located above the oil filter pad.

Having the same problem with my oil temp. I would check the gauge first (mine went bad). The sender is located above the oil filter as previously stated.

Your oil temp should be about 10-15 degrees hotter than your coolant temp. Around here this time of year I would guess between 205-215 or there abouts.
