I don't think it looks that bad. What do you think?

Doesn't look bad. Paint or spray some rust inhibitor in there to stop it cold and keep it from forming again.

If it were mine, it would warrant further investigation. You could be looking at the tip of the iceburg.

Sure I agree there 100% I was just saying that rust is not severe enough to need major repair.

This one isn't too bad - How are the other three mounts that are under cover? I had one that was about like this - bad news was it was the best one. I would also be sure to check the rocker channels (get under the car with a good light and look above the frame) as well as the windshield posts (pull all of the covers off around the frame on the inside of your car.

How and where else should I look? That is the only spot of rust I have found on the whole car, frame included.

Have you pulled the covers in front of the rear wheels as well as the other front cover? Also, as I mentioned check the rocker channel - under the car over the frame the bird cage goes the entire length under the doors. Hard to see but use a strong light and a screwdriver and you can see/feel around. The other major trouble spot is around the windshield - pull off the header and the side piller mouldings and you will be able to check most of it. Also at the base of the windshield pillers check where the piller meets the body - you can see a small amount with the door open.

more pics avail if you need them

Looks like #2 mount, so you can get a wire wheel on a drill in there to remove it. THEN you can determine the extent & depth of the rust.

Clean it up and you will find out if it is surface rust or worse...

Good Luck!!!
