Last year I had a 93 convertible and was looking to get a new C6. All I could afford was a coupe or a stripped convertible(that and the wife was being terrible over it). Not what I was wanting so I searched for a used car and found a decent 70 convertible and bought it(and totally lied about what I paid for it) .
Then this summer I went to get a new pickup and the wife talked me into a new fully loaded convertible.
I am not sure what car I like best. The new car is so nice, and the old one is like an old Harley. I liked the 93 when I had it but not nearly like either of these cars. Both of the cars I have now put a smile on my face that can't be slaped off. My opinion is you would like either car and not be sorry no matter what you bought. As long as you don't settle for a car, and buy the car that has the features you want.
It all depends on what you want to do with them. If you want to drive a Corvette with 'creature comforts', good power, and not have to work on it....buy a C6 or a C5 with a warranty. If you want nostalgia and like to show it, ride it around town [not across country], and discuss 'em at shows, etc. buy the C3. Oh, on the latter version, you can't get an extended warranty...lots of TLC is required to keep the ol' buggy going.
thanks for the input early shark... C3 it is I think! Now it's just a matter of finding the right one! Don't suppose you're considering selling? LOL
From other posts I've read in CF it sounds like the fall/winter might be a good time to buy... Can't wait!

One of early sharks cars are probably worth more than 5 C6's!!! An original low mile survivor and on top of that 2 of 188 ever built! He is one lucky man!
