That guy sounds like a real tool.

He's about $9,999.00 too high on his price.

$10,000.00!!!!! What is this guy smoking? I think on of the other guys said it best "whats in the gas tank, thats what its worth". This guy has to know the price is a stretch and he didnt even clean up the motor for pics and no shots of seats etc. This makes me want to cry, I have a 70 and this makes me shiver to know that some dip went and took one of the best looking muscle cars evermade and violated it in such a way that makes you want to puke .. WHY?!?!? Why do this to a chrome bumper car?!?!? Well on the bright side, my 70 just went up in value thanks to people like this destined to destroy the limited amount of these cars that exist.

I don't have a problem with customizing a Corvette, but c'mon, don't you have any taste at all? My first thought was it's a car from redneck-country, but I guess they get bored up in Yamhill Oregon, too. It's so far gone I don't think you could even save it. Time to scrap it and make a washing machine out if it.

Back in the mid to late 70's there was a van craze. Back some place in my head, I seem to remember these. Here is a link to a model that MPC made...

http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/vette_van.html

My fear is that there may be more of these some where.

Hey, if your puffing a short one,, the Eagles are on and the moons shinning off the lake,, this is what you want to drive home. Made sense in '71,, doesn't translate that well now though. Were ever the original parts are ,they're worth more then the car,, now. who wouldn't go back to '71 with me right now if you had the chance. Full employment, Japanese car,, what's that? a house, a lake cabbin, a vette, a camaro and a Van, a wife and 3 kids on a union mans salery. Eagles jamming,, no such thing as a Resume,, no such thing as a drug test... I'm leaving now!!!! well,, time machines broken,,,where's my 'Vette???? sheesh....... ,,,,,,,,,,,

Yeesh, Man you guys don't have a clue, I think it's pretty funny when you post pictures of cars that you deem "fugly" or call the owners a "tool" when it's obvious that these cars are customs that were done in the 70's and 80's.

During that time these cars were the thing to have........like someone said, this car was built during the van craze. I think $10,000 is a fair price for a piece of history, and the owner seems flexible.

Just like square headlights, daytona kits and ground effects were popular in the late eighties, early nineties.

I can't wait until some kid get's ahold of a picture of one of your cars twenty years from now

I would not build one like it, but I do appreciate it for the time it was done. When that car was built, it was probably pretty impressive to most that saw it. It is part of Corvette history, for sure. 30 years from now, some guy will have pics of a pro-touring vette on here bashing it because it is not the "in" style.

I was around back in 71. Alot of corvette folks thought the same thing as folks do now..they are ugly. That one reason you dont see a bunch of them running around. Hippy vans were just to cheap to buy, if thats what you wanted. yes, they were "kinda cool" the first time you saw one..but that got old fast.
