what did you do for cleaning up/smoothing out panel joints underneath?
Mine are sloppy looking with gaps that can trap dirt etc, just wondering what would be a good product to smooth things out?
(I'm thinking just more panel adhesive )
I still have a lot more smoothing to do. I'm thinking we can use seam sealer or vette bond and close up all the gaps before paint.
leyt me tell you something.. I have probably spent more time in Toronto then you have and the way they pronounce it it is definitely spelled ay as in long vowel 'a'.. I don't know everybody in Toronto told me any one that fails spelling in first grade gets sent to Nova Scotia...Which is probably why my wife wants to visit there so bad.
My car was Metallic Yellow from the factory, but is now Millie Miglia Red. WHoever changed the color did a fairly decent job at it, and I really don't want to tackle the color change back.
I will jsut have to live with red.
I can't wait to see the car with some paint on it.
As far as the guide coat, fiberglass is not nearly as bad as steel, for rough spots, but you are going to sand the car anyway. Who cares if there is a guide coat on there to show low spots. I would hate to find one while buffing out the clear coat...
