Never did that but when I was bolting up the tranny in my Alfa back in the 70's the wrench slipped and broke off half of one of my upper front teeth.
try pb blaster in the eye..... like a full stream.......
under the car ....reached for the can..... spray.....shyt....@#$%^%$#@#$%^
better yet
piece of wire from the mig fell off while welding a little piece and went through my shoe and stuck between 2 toes..... i think i hold the record for the quick take off shoe and sock performance
Or Carb Cleaner in the eye and then there is Brake Cleaner oh yeah lol. Or weld overhead and have a blob of molten metal go down the back of your shirt inside oh the fun never ends lol. I do not think I should continue lol. But I am sure I can come up with many many more fun items lol.
But to be honest when working on anything I have only had to put up with cuts and scraps and bruises here and there. The real trouble is when you start working with Power Tools lol. These are the ones that bite you when you are not looking lol. Like using a 10in Stand Grinder and you bump the part wrong and run a part of your body into the grinder like a finger and you go wow does that look like bone it is not bleeding oh here it comes and then the pain lol. Or you think oh I am just going to use the wire wheel on the grinder for just a sec and forget to put your protective glasses on and a wire fly's out and sticks in your eye and now you have to look for a magnet to pull the wire out lol. Do not do this at home kids lol. Or you are using Oxy/Act and pick up the hot end of the welding rod and wonder why it is slipping through your fingers well it is hot and melting your finger like butter lol. And if you are ever welding and smell something on fire but you do not see it then it is YOU that is on fire lol. Any ?'s lol.
And yes I do have a broken crow bar in a sand box lol.
And then the 1300 stitches but those are whole other things to talk about lol.

ouch.
I was working on an aircraft 2 days ago and was tightening a hi-lock. I had to get close to see it as it was under a longeron. Wrench slipped off and I punched myself dead in the nose. Only time I got punched and laughed!

lol Reminds me of a friend that was looking under the nose of his aircraft. He was in a hurry and just moved the prop aside and let go and well you know what then lol. The prop came right back and whapped him in the head lol. And yes he did laugh lol.
Duct tape makes an excellent bandage. Won't even fall off if it gets covered with blood. Good stuff. You should have seen my little finger on my right hand after my wrench slipped off of an alternator mounting bolt and my finger slid up the edge of a stainless steel blade of a Flex-A-Lite fan. That one took a few stitches to close up over at the emergency room. Still have a scar on my finger about 1 1/2" long from the finger nail half way to the second knuckle. Wrapped that baby in duct tape and kept the hand elevated as I drove to the E-room.
A few years ago I was in a vessel with a boilermaker. He was pulling on a 1 1/8" wrench tightening a flange. When the wrench slipped off, it hit him above the eye and there was instant blood.
I have learned my lesson... When I am wrenching, I imagine the wrench slipping off and determining what damage would be done. I usually end up changing position.
