Engine Code Help
Hello Everyone,
New member here. First of all I want to thank you for this forum and the many questions and answers offered by other members. I have found it very helpful and informative. My question concerns the serial #106 2LM 199723653 stamped on my 1969 427 engine block. The last six numbers do match my VIN numbers. I can't find anything in the black book with this number - what have I got? Thanks

First set should be T06 2 LM = 390 hp, mnual trans., assembled june 2, '69.
The other should be 19S723653: the 23,563rd Corvette produced sometime in early July '69.
When you find your trim tag, it should have L## on top right, for July and whatever date.
Yours is near mine, (22,704). After the strike, usually considered late '69.

Just went out and rechecked my numbers per your answer and you are exactly right - guess I didn't see the numbers/letters clearly the first time. Also appreciate knowing if early or late as I just thought it was an early model which was a wrong assumption on my part. Thanks loads for the help.
