IMO the 70 saddle is the lightest of them all

Not exactly true. All Vettes will have a trim code for each color and also specifically each year. There are also grain and pattern differences each year. No two years are exactly the same......

They did not call it light saddle in any year that I know of but it was lighter in 69-70 I think.

The numbers don't mean much look at 420 vinyl in 69 leather in71
