I drove my 77 in the rain, it leaked a bit, but not bad. I'll probably drive the 81 in the rain when I get ir up, not all the time, but I would drive it.

Till I got rear-ended, I drove my 81 every day. Rain, shine, maybe even a little light snow (as soon as the salt comes out, I'm done).

It gets hairy sometimes. No traction control, decent torque, and fat tires don't like the rain. Gotta drive like there's an egg between your foot and the gas

It's only water. Take 10 minutes and dry it off when you get home. Body, wheel wells, door jambs, all of it.

My 72 is less a car for transportation than it is a lifelong hobby. There is almost never a time when something isn't apart. So I rarely even drive mine on a sunny day, not to mention a rainy one. Two more years and I should be done with the major stuff; then only small fine-tuning projects after that. Then it will see some miles and fun.......

I got caught in a thunder storm when I first bought it in 1984, the car hasn't been rained on since.

10% chance of rain(or more), 0% chance of taking out the Vette.
Rain is to a Vette, like a match is to fire.

Default Never

Would never drive mine in the rain. Makes me sick if I get caught in the rain on a rare occasion because I won't take it out if there is a chance of rain. Don't even wash it any more than I have to, I just use a duster often and the car never gets dirty. If you keep the car glazed, you won't need to wash it often. And when you do wash it, never let it set. Try to do it on a warm day and drive it to air dry it. Remember the stories that you hear on this forum about the birdcages rusting out ?Everytime you wash that corvette , that water is entering those areas.

Fair weather only. I just can't bring myself to back a perfectly clean and detailed car out of the garage and into bad weather. It's just no fun. I don't need to so I won't. The pickup truck is for running errands.

If mine was finished, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it in the rain if I was in the mood to get it out. I'm building it to drive it and enjoy it. I respect both sides of the matter though.

I try not to drive in the rain but I have driven in the rain. They do not melt and the wipers do actually work.

I will be making lots of LONG road trips next year so avoiding the rain will be a problem. But I won't intentionally take it out in the rain when I am at home. It's the snow I'm worried about. (5 inches yesterday)

I have drove the C-3's for the past 25 years and when I lived in San Diego it was my daily driver regardless of weather. I thought they did well in rain. Rain will not damage anything if the car is sealed up well.

In Wichita this C-3 is never out in ice or snow, except for rare days when the streets are clean I may take it out for a short drive.

I enjoy the cleaning and polising; just crank up some tunes and have fun either driving or cleaning

Drive'm if you got'm...

Default 2 1/2 inches

Last time my 70 vert was out in the rain unprotected the passengers foot well filled with 2 1/2 inches of water. Fixed the leak but, still don't enjoy driving in the rain.

Sunny days with the top down is the only way to travel.

I'd drive my vette in the rain if i wanted to commit suicide undercovering it as a road accident

No, really, you can't drive your vette in the rain if you have a heavy right foot and a good few of extra ponies under the hood...specially with 15'' fat tires and definitely NOT with hoosier dot rubber!

My luck is as soon as I waxed it all up and going cruising, his never fails, clouds up and rains. Have been out before in rain, don't like it. Won't take it out if its raining, however, if I am on a road trip I don't have much of a choice and I put my fate in the weather gods!!
