why on earth am I going to pay some judge/event big bucks so I can get points to brag about later... these guys who spend 400 each time to get judged year after year.. yea.. 400 bucks to have some judge tell me my bellhousing bolts are incorrect... why would most people even get their car judged in the 1st place? never for me...

Dunno, why would you? Somebody got a gun to your head?

Instead of paying $400 (don't know where you got that number) post some pictures and we'll tell that your car is crap for FREE!

hmm... bloomington gold this summer, gold certification judging 450$..

yes I know my car is crap, the bellhousing bolts are incorrect.. and my mufflers are clamped to my exhaust pipes and not welded.. I am so ashamed to take it out..
truthfully, in this forum, how many people talk about losing points here and there would actually spend the money.. 10% of them? how many Vettes are good enough to be judged and get high points?

I am one of those unfortunates who has the original engine which is missing stamp do to previous owners overheat and repair. Not sure I would restamp block. Lucky I have enought of the tank sticker to show it's a 327/350.

as long as we are saying the original block had the number destroyed during the rebuild process and then the original block was restamped then is not Fraud......any thing other then that is fraud, Fraud is Fraud it doesn't matter who endorses or accepts it.

I think it is perfectly fine to restamp a block when you are selling a car to someone you really want to scew. There is probably no better way to screw a buyer than to sell him a car with a replacement engine when you have convinced him the engine is original.

Just think how stupid and embarassed he will feel years later when he goes to sell the car and someone more knowledgable than him acuses him of trying to defraud them. Oh what fun. There are not too many things you can do that will be more painful to a car guy. Is it dishonest-SURE but who cares! Think of the satisfaction and financial gain you will get.
