I read the chain of events on Rogers website. The CE Zl-1 was removed and a 454 was installed in its place. Is there 100% documentation on the CE engines numbers and that its the same CE engine that was 'found' years later or is it more of taking Waynes (from Zip) word for it?
The Daytona yellow coupe and Monaco orange convertible are the two genuine factory documented examples. Both cars have their original 'born with' engines.
Joe, Warren, and others,
Thanks for all the information you guys have provided to the CF on this issue. As an owner of a '68, that is interested in the '68 - 72 history, you guys are an asset to some of us who know part(s) of history on the rare cars of this era in Corvette history. I learn more each day. Keep up the good work!
