My new suspension just came in for my 1980 from VPB, i bought it through year one. In the package they put the wrong smart struts, and the wrong brackett for the monospring. Also the rear sway bar mounting kits were not in the box. I am very frustrated. Ever time i order parts i ALWAYs have gotten wrong parts. This has happened when i ordered from year one, ecklers, and corvette central. Just wanted to know if this is a problem everyone has, or if i have horrable luck.
A few years ago I bought a Street and Slalom suspension package from VB&P. They forgot to include the Smart Struts in the shipment. They were very good about correcting the mistake after a phone call.

I have purchased from them numerous times and I've nothing but great experiences with VB&P. Patty and the guys are great, very friendly and knowledgeable folks.

Reason: incorrect name, should be Patty not Peggy, oops.
Call Patty (not Peggy) and tell her what happened. This same thing happened to me 2 years ago when I bought the VB&P Performance Plus package. They shipped the wrong rear spring mount and struts for my 82 Vette. Took a little while and alot of phone calls, but I got the correct parts.
I ordered an under car dual exhaust kit from MidAmerica, and the passenger pipe was almost 8 inches too long. Stuck out behind the car and looked really funny. Ended up just cutting the darned thing myself and writing an e-mail to them informing them of the problem. Got a $50.00 gift certificate out of the deal, plus a really nice sounding exhaust system.
Best advice here is don't buy parts through a 3rd party, if you can get them direct from the manufacturer. Not saying that Year One won't take care of this, but I buy VB&P through VB&P. Besides, Patti gives a forum discount, does Year One? Not trying to rag on you, but this sounds like a Y1 problem & not a VB&P problem.

I would have ordered them direct from VBP but i got a big price break (long story)
