Hi- I have got the 3 bolts on each side out and the 3/4 bolt in the middle all out but I still can't get it to come up and out no matter how much twisting that I do.
I think that the problem has something to do with the pivot on both sides. In the middle of the 3 bolts there is also a hole for the pivot to go through- which seems to be like a collar to keep the whole thing from moving too much. I don't see how this releases to be able to free it up.
Any idears?

Hey!
Not sure about your year....on a 72 it works best to take the entire assembly out. That means removing the front grilles and any other structure necessary to get the assemblies out. But I don't know if yours are similar or not. This was my last project this fall before I put the old girl away for a long winter's nap......
Rob It has been awhile since I took mine out but if I remember correctly aside from the three bolts on each side and the bottom pivoting point that raises and lowers the doors they are just a super tight fit. I cant remember If I had to turn the mounts on each side to get them out. Rick
The set screw is the 'Allen' type, and so is a little difficult to find. The screw is on the outer surface of the collar. If you can get a look at an 'Exploded View' of the Headlamp Housing in a manual or vendor's catalogue it would be a big help to you.
Regards,
Alan
