Air Cleaner Base
I have a 70 with the original Rochester. The base of my air cleaner seems to be be interfering with the linkage. I have a gasket at on the air carb for the air cleaner and I have dimpled the bottom of the air cleaner base. The base is supposed to be an original 70.. Has anyone else experienced interferance problems?

if you have original air cleaner and original carb maybe you dont have the original linkage bracket. or maybe one of them isnt really original. sounds like you will just have to put your thinking cap on and change something.

There are a lot of aftermarket bases around that look like a GM base at a quick glance but have a different depth 'drop' and different size and shaped 'dimples'. Maybe that's your problem.
