450K+, this is a real car and not one of the hundereds of resto upgrades showing up this year. Should be L-88 plus 20 percent in pricing.
Whats the vin on this one?

-No real racing provenance for the ZR2's vs. the L88's long racing history
-Lower compression engine (9.5 vs. 12.5)
-Less HP output
On the other hand, I hope you're right. Maybe it'll get a bump because of the new ZR package hoopla. It'd be great to see the C3 ZR's finally recognized for what they are: the last true factory prepped race cars from the golden age of muscle. As Zora was quoted as saying, the C3 ZR's were, "My last great white hope for Corvette racing." Let the bids begin!

The 71 LS6/ZR2 are always overshadowed by the 68-69 L88 despite it's low production numbers.Although the ZR2 is a factory racer as the L88 was,it does not have the racing heritage and notoriety that the L88 has.Being that the car is being auctioned at BJ it may break the 400k mark,BUT most of the NON-CORVETTE people do not even know what the hell it is.BUT they do know what a L88 is.

Very true. A Classic White LS6 convert, M22, 3:08 ratio, saddle custom interior, luggage rack, lots of factory documentation, that was restored, with replacement quarter panels, engine rebuilt twice sold last year after being bid up to 230K at the Excelsior Auction on June 10, to a private party for 250K!
If this War Bonnet yellow LS6 ZR-2 coupe doesn't bring more than that, I'll be bidding on it!

It was interesting to see two Corvette guys going after it, who really knew how special it was. It definitely is like a wolf in sheeps clothing. Just like the '69 ZL-1 Camaro the exterior is plain as day, but underneath all that clothing lies the heart of a beast!
I think it went for reasonable money also. I came awfully close to emptying out my bank account on this one.
The commentary sucked, he really didn't have a clue as to what he was talking about.

BTW the blue M40 69 L88 sold at Russo Steele for 375K plus buyers fee.

SBR,was that a original motor L88? Warren,at least that ZR2 sale will put the LS6/ZR2 on the map and start creeping out of the L88 shadow and let everyone realize that besides the 427's there is our beloved 454.
