That is where the name actually comes from. The previous blue used was Le Mans Blue, there was some confision with that name due to the Pontiac Le Mans. So Chevrolet decided to change it to Mulsane Blue to still honor the Le Mans Race. THose that know the race, know about the Mulsanne Straightaway so that is how the name came to be.
