How do you get to this switch in order to repace it?

Through the access panel in the rear fender well.

Actually, you only need to turn the hex-nut counter-clockwise till it comes loose. YOU NEED TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE WORKING ON IT. Also, with the wires still connected, you won't be able to pull it out very far. If you don't have enough slack to work on it, they you will have to pull the rear wheelwell cover plate.

You can purchase new replacements from www.lectriclimited.com or other Vette aftermarket parts places. Local auto parts stores will NOT have the correct switches. They will have similar switches, but minor differences will keep them from working properly.

No, but it's tight in there. Removing the tire just makes it much easier to get in there and SEE what you're doing.
