Brake Booster Studs?
What size nuts go on the Brake booster studs where your master cylinder bolts up. I have lost mine. Where can I get replacements?

I don't have a car here to look at but maybe it is a fine thread 7/16 and not a course threaded stud.

I tired a 3/8 x 16 and the bugger won't go. I have one of the original nuts and it looks like it is a elongated nut(not completly round) ???????

Elongated on one end would be a self locking nut. How do the threads look, buggered up? Maybe you need to chase the threads.

you can't chase the threads, I tried, because of the un-threaded tip off the stud. There are no threads to chase at the beginning of the stud.

So are the threads the problem, are they messed up or not?
If you can't chase them, do you have a thread restoring file?

The threads are ok. The original nut (I only have one) that I have will go on. however a regular 3/8 x 16 will not work. I have a 3/8 x 16 die but it will not work as I previously explained. I will post some pics.

Never mind, I go a metric thread gage and it is a 10mm x 1.5 pitch, the gage just falls right in there, as the 3/8 x 16 was a little snug.
