Default DiamondBack?????

While looking through the used car ad with pictures, he asked if there were any Diamondbacks in there? He knows I own a vette, so I ask him what was a Diamondback. He said that it was the vettes from 63 through
67. He said they called those year vettes DiamondBack because the back window looks like part of a diamond. Anybody heard that term used before? I haven't. Tony

Never heard of mid-year coupes referred to as Diamondbacks. When I read Diamondback I think of the company that supplies repro tires. I'm just getting used to the C1 through C6 thing.

Grew up with those cars, don't remember hearing them called DiamondBacks. EastCoast. Some times called them FASTBACKS.

Alan
