Default Flasher Probem!!

I NEED HELP, MY FLASHERS DO NOT BLINK, I CHANGED THE FLASHER FUSE AND STILL NOTHING, WHEN ACTIVATED THE LIGHTS STAY ON, ON THE SIDE TO WHICH THE SWITCH IS TURNED TO. THE HAZZARDS WORK FINE AS WELL AS THE BREAK LIGHTS.

IS THERE ANOTHER FUSE? WHERE?

THANKS DINO

ITS A 75 CONVERT. ALL THE LIGHTS LOOK FINE

What year is your car? Did you replace the turn signal flasher?

And it may look like this...also check all your light bulbs, if these two fail to fix, check sockets conditions.

If the emergency flashers work but the turn signals don't, your problem is the turn signal flasher is bad...located in a clip behind the right-side dash panel (you can reach it; you don't have to remove the panel).

Are there separate flasher units for the hazards and the turn signals? If so, where's the hazard unit?

Yep, two separate units. The flasher for the hazards is on the fuse panel, in the top corner. The signal flasher, for some reason, was put on it's own pigtail, clipped up behind the passenger dash knee pad.

also make sure you get the correct flasher, or it will cause it not to work.
Good Luck

Not trying to hi-jack but while we are talking about "FLASHERS" .........
what would cause the flashers to flash slowly or at different speeds left side vs right side ?

Resistance. The resistance, either too much or not enough, determines how fast the lights flash.

rapid flashing could also mean that one of your bulbs is burnt out.

Slower or faster than normal usually means you have the wrong bulbs in the lights or there is some corrosion in the sockets/connections which raises the resistance in the circuit.

Could this be a solution to my problem? Remember, when the right turn signal is on, the inside indicator does not flash and the outside all lights up and does not flash except for the tail light which does nothing. The left works just fine though. My hazzards all work fine and flash ( and dash indicators) except for the right tail light, which again does nothing.

Sounds like your right rear bulb is bad or maybe the wiring to it. That could cause the right to not flash because there is not enough load on the flasher. Try changing the bulb.

I have a question: Ive made my outside lights (the blinkers) LED and I have put in an electronic flasher, but they still wont blink, I just went out and tried my emergency flashers and they work just fine, is that my problem quoted above? if so could I get a picture of where and what Im looking to replace?

Did you replace both flashers, the one in the fuse box is for the emergency flashers and the one behind the right dash is for signals.

on my 74 I replaced the blinker fuse with the electric one right above my high beam peddal, on the extreme left under the dash
