This guy has to be smoking crack or was fleeced by the people doing the work on this car.... I guess that 150,000 doesn't get the proper finish on the side grilles . I can't Imagine how a 1971 C3 with a crate motor TPI from a c4 VBP suspension, steeroids, SSBC brakes, tacky piping on the interior could possibly cost 150,000. At the MOST 75,000! What a BS artist.
The 1974 Green vert on here recently that sold for 22,000 was at least the equal of this car.
I would hardly call that a resto mod. The only thing updated is the FI motor and not even a real modern one and the rack and pinion steering. It has an old school M22 and old school suspension. I have more resto mod stuff on my car. If anyone offerrs me $80K for mine I could not get the keys to them fast enough. He could have 50K in parts but 150K invested in the car? He paid someone a lot of money for a nice ride but it is no resto mod car.
It said internet price is 81,000. Volo is right by my home. They are a overpriced reseller like Proteam. They will end up selling the car around mid to upper 40's
I really don't care for the interior at all, otherwize it looked petty good for pictures.
A classic example of an individual "doing his own thing" by throwing aftermarket 'stuff' at a C3, running up the cash-O-meter, then trying to get LARGE money for the patchwork car that resulted. If a retailer has it now, they picked it up pretty cheap and they think there must be another sucker out there who really likes it.
One of the most interesting aspects of this discussion is that if this was a 1969 camaro with comparable mods, style etc, it would probably bring twice as much as this vette.
I realize the exhaust tips could have been cleaned...BUT... they look like the engine has never been run much less driven! Love the trailer picture.
Regards,
Alan
I noticed that he picked guages that look like they should be in a model T Ford. That really fits in with the semi-modern look that he is trying to go for in the interior.
Not to defend anyone but it says "vehicle located off-site". Is it possible that the are selling it soley from the bs the owner has given them without the dealer ever seeing the car at all?

Pardon us for not prostrating at the altar of the holy matching number.
