Looks like there was a picture of him on the photobucket site, he was a younger guy 30's - 40's. Absolutely tragic. Without a doubt that was the most gorgeous C3 I've ever seen.
yeah...very sad indeed, but I think things could have been a lot worse with him not being recognizable if he had the original frame vs. tube frame. The front wheels of the vette are still relatively forward of the main bird cage unlike the newer car where the wheel is clearly into the drivers foot area
edit...I just realized that his silver painted frame was actually the original frame and not a tube chasis. Even more impressive that his original frame seemed to hold up very well...but a sad day indeed it is.
This is very depressing. Makes the part of this hobby we tend not to think about very real....
yeah...i actually printed all these out on one page and hung it on the garage wall to remind myself everytime I drive it, to be careful while driving my vette, as I tend not too sometimes.
From the (bad) translations of the article about the accident, it looks like the authorities suspect the Corvette was being driven in an imprudent manner. Be careful out there, for everyone's sake.

That's a shame.I used to drool over this car a couple years ago,and give my wife minute to minute updates on the progress. RIP,and to all.....be careful.
