It is very impressive when a caged vette can break a cement wall at the race track

This was the maiden voyage of a 650 hp 434 ci small block. Cold day and cold slicks. When the green flag dropped he power shifted into to a looping 360 on the main straight into the cement. I;m not sure of the impact speed, maybe 55-75 mph. It shows that a cage and a 5 point can save any persons life.

It is sad to see someone killed in a car accident.

I agree that a cage can save the driver's life, but as most people on here posted, lets all be careful out there.

The guy that spent many years and probably more than I did on my house to build a super car, killed another driver.

I only drive agressive on a track.

Makes me a little sick, just to look at it and think about all the work that has gone into that car. Gene

When I'm working on my car, esp when i lift it to do some work under the car, i started to think,, looking at the Chinese made $20 jack stands, Would i lift a 3,400lb piece of industrial equipment and support it on these jack stands, and feel comfortable under it? I certainly wouldn't. Just because it's pretty, and everybody drives around in one, it's easy to get cavalier about what your doing with it. essentially, It's a 3400lb piece of industrial equipment, made by General Motors Corporation. Not treating it as such, and, dare i say Playing, can lead to this. Take the car seriously. may the driver RIP.

As sad as it is, let us use this as a reminder that our cars can get us into trouble...and sometimes, may not be able to get us out of trouble. Our departed 'brother' would not want us to follow in his path.
