Default Uncapped STS Baffles

When I bought my baffles a few years ago the first thing I did was take the caps off. It sounds good but is fairly loud and attracts wayyy too much attention especially when you wind it up. People say they can hear me several miles away. I've decided to put the caps back on but undecided whether to leave them undrilled or go with maybe a 3/8" hole. Anyone know how much quieter they would be? I know I could try trial & error with a smaller hole first but I would rather not have to install & uninstall the pipes several times. Thanks for any info...

I drilled a 3/8 hole in my caps, much quieter than no caps but will still rumble when I romp on it. The neighbors don't complain if I just drive normal.

I was kinda thinking a 3/8" hole might be what I'm looking for.

I went with the 1/2" drilled hole and I was really surprised that I hit it right at where I wanted it to be.Sounds really good at idle and it comes to life at launch!

My car must be weird. I've got it completely capped and it's really really loud, and I was running open headers for a while. Don't know how much louder you guys want it.

OK, I went with the 3/8" holes and that quietened them down about right, not too quiet nor too loud.
