Default Body removal pixs

I finaly got the body off .. went crazy trying to figure out what was stoping it . It turned out I forgot the cable under the car that connects to the frame from the seat belt bolts, once I got that off she came off no prob. I was pleased that I didn't have any rust issues at all.

Where is that cable? Is there one on both sides? I am about a week behind you and will be lifting mine next weekend. How high did you have to lift the body? My driveway is on a slope so I have to do it in the garage.

Looks pretty solid. You might even get lucky when you unfold that build sheet. That fold "may have" protected it enough to read it.

Let the games begin!

OK the cable holds the body on at the end of the driveshaft tunnel. under the car Two 3/4 nuts, otherwise the car will lift about 1 inch and stop. so make sure evrything is disconnected, my driveway is sloped too so I backed it out just enough to get so height for the lift and it worked out. use at least two people to guide the nose off. Btw. I used adjustable cargo ty downs and they worked great as you can correct angle of pull as you go. Hopefully I am off the the sand blaster next week and get it all powdercoated.

Big Block caps, and a tank sticker! Wow! Now small block up front, and an automatic trans with no rear sway bar...is this a 427/390 M40 car in hiding?

Looks like a superb project!

Yes it's the orig. build sheet but in poor cond. I have to figure a way to clean it. Yes I was lucky on the frame. the bird cage has some rust around whee the windshield goe's I cut theat out and replace it with new steel. the lower front frame piece has some rot but repairable(removable crossmember) also the lower part of the rad support also rotted . I repaired that as well. I am used to rot repair as I am a former Jaguar restorer..

Great Pictures!!! It looks like you have a nice solid project to work on.
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE TANK STICKER, EVEN A HINT OF BB INFO MEANS $$$$$$$$$$$$.

Alan
