Default 1968 Engine Bay Progress Pics

This is how it looked when I purchased it. Had to repair a fuel line before firing it up.

[IMG][/IMG]

After a few dollars.

[IMG][/IMG]

Added the following.
Air Cleaner
O style Valve covers
Ignition sheild
GM hoses and clamps
Alternator bracket that would work with headers
Plug Wires and heat sheilds
Engine bay wiring harness
Wiper Motor
Wiper Actuator
Vacuum Hoses
Temp Sensor
Vacuum Relays
A-arm splash sheilds
Asst. fittings and bushings

Still need to install the Smog pump and GF 432 Fuel filter for that sleeper look. I'll probably reinstall the factory exhaust manifolds when the 327 goes back in.

Looks great!

What did you use to paint or polish the alternator and shine up the intake manifold? I need to do the same to mine and now's the time since the engine is out of the bay.

It's sold and gone to Ohio. Missed you at the Forum Cruise this year.

Ecklers, It's suppose to be a 68 early, but they sent a 69 with the screw adapter. I was fine with that as long as it went in and out. I went through three before I received one that worked.

Probably, I will go back to the full sheild when the new motor goes in.

Thanks Pat. I loved the 78, but I always wanted a bumper car. This car will never be a #'s match car, so you never know what it will progress into. Right now it's just going to be a driver and the occasional cruise show.

You drop that body back on yet?
