In between the AS-2 and LC is a box with the letters LOF
LOF is for Libby Owens Ford who was the main supplier of glass to GM.
LC should be a date code = March of 1976.

My late 1975 - June - does not have astro - the vents are sealed. It was phased out in late 1975.
But, I still have the drain hoses installed and that's all.

Thanks
In order to not have different windows they all said Astro Ventilation (except as noted in the responses above).

For AC cars, they blocked off the flaps in the rear of the passenger compartment thus making Astro Ventilation inoperable.

With the space race going full bore - ASTRO ventilation was a marketing tool.

Well the mystery has been solved. I spoke to my parents last night and found out that sometime in 1980 they were having the window motors repaired/replaced and one of the windows was broken durring the repair, and so one window was replaced. Being that the wording "Astro Ventilation" was not on the newer window, they had the other one replaced as well. I was only 11 at the time and the windows on a corvette that I would own some day were not top on my list of things to remember. When I read the post about being made in March 76, I thought "no way, how can this be" but numbers are numbers.
Thanks for all the replys to my question.

Lots of vert glass gets broken on the top front at the angle. Their is a screw that holds the trim on at that spot and some how it hits the glass and chips it.

Both '71's have no A/C with working Astro Ventilation and the script on the windows.
